Allegheny County’s final self-response rate was 72.2% – as compared to Pennsylvania’s rate of 69.6% and the national rate of 67%. A total of 56 communities met or exceeded the 2010 self-response rate while 36 of them exceeded 80%. Thank you to everyone who completed the census online or by phone, or spoke to an enumerator who came to their door.
A special thanks to our Complete Count Committee and its subcommittees, the foundation community for its financial support, the 160 organizations that served as a census hub or partner, and the over 300 individuals who were trained about the importance of the census and how to reach hard-to-count communities.
We couldn’t have done it without you.
